One word to describe our work: spotless
Other competitors brag about their response times, but many don´t care about the quality of their work. A bad locksmith may be able to open a lock, but also leave scratches on the surface, or even irredeemably damage the mechanism, costing you more money in the long run when the lock finally breaks down and requires changing.
Locksmithing is equal times science and art, it requires preparation, study, and practice. Our technical staff strives for perfection in their work, it´s not enough for us to open, repair, or replace a lock, we want to do a spotless job that leaves your property as good as new.
A good locksmith is only as good as its tools, and that’s why we have gladly invested time and resources to train and equip our technical staff with the most advanced locksmithing tech on the market. It doesn’t matter if we are dealing with a simple lock, or a biometric system, or even a reinforced door. We have the tools and equipment to help you with your needs.
Security is our main concern
Security and locks go hand in hand, For more than 2500 years, locks have been implemented in one way or another to ward off intruders and protect the things and people we care for, for example; our houses, our cars, our offices. So, when you hire a locksmith you are hiring a person of trust, someone who is going to be in charge of creating a safe environment for you and your loved ones.
We at 24locksmith understand this and take your trust to heart. Our business is built on the hundreds of lives we have protected and changed with our services. Our technicians are licensed, bonded, and insured so you can be sure that you are in good hands.
The 24locksmith family values honesty, hard work, and empathy, when we install a lock or a security system like a buzzer or a biometric scanner, we do it as if we were protecting one of our own because for us, every single client is like a family member.

We understand that every client is unique, and our solutions are custom-tailored to the needs of each client.
• Open locks: Be it a door, a mailbox, a security box, a container, or furniture, if you lost the key then rest assured because we can get it opened in no time.
• Change keys: If your ignition is giving you problems or one of your keys got damaged, we can change your key in no time or replace the whole system entirely if the case should arise.

Emergency house lockout services
There are a plethora of reasons why people get locked out of their houses, most commonly people either misplace their keys, they leave them inside the house, or the lock gets jammed due to lack of maintenance. Whatever the cause, the end result is the same, you are unable to get back into your place.
Of course, one could always smash a window or crawl through a pet’s door, in the first case, you run the risk of cutting yourself or create a mess of shattered glasses (not accounting for the cost of replacing the window), as for the second options, let’s just say that not all bodies are made to crawl through tiny spaces.
The good news is that you don’t need to do any of those things with the help of your professional crew. Most front doors and back doors typically use either level 3 or lever 5 mortise locks which are relatively easy to open, you only need the right tools given enough time and patience. An average mortise lock can be opened in around 10 to 30 minutes.
Typically this type of issue can easily be solved with lock picking (manipulating the tumblers inside the lock) or lock jemmying (which doesn’t involve, as the name might imply, the use of a crowbar). But in some cases, less disruptive methods may be sufficient, such as under the door lockpicking kits.
New lock installation on doors
Did you decide to remodel or repair your house and are looking forward to installing a set of brand-new doors? Then look no further, 24locksmith is here to help you.
No two doors are alike, and we mean that both literally and figuratively. When you decide to install a new door you also have to decide what kind of security you want your door to have. A no-lock or a simple lock might suffice for a bedroom but for your tool shack or your main entrance, you definitely want something stronger.
Our specialists can act as a consultant and help you decide which is the best lock to install depending on what you need, not every door is suited for every kind of lock and you will be saving money and valuable time with the help of an expert.
Of course, once you decide what kind of lock you want we’ll handle the rest. We often recommend people to be very careful when they hire someone to install their locks or when they try to install them themselves. One small mistake could leave your house vulnerable or outright ruin the whole door.
The process is actually rather simple:
1. First, we prepare the door by removing excess material to make sure that the mechanism will fit perfectly.
2. We place the lock latch in the recess
3. The lock is then placed carefully and tightened.
4. Then we give the door a try just to make sure that everything is in order.
5. And then finally, we tighten the remaining screws and your door is ready to go.
Of course, more secure locks are more involved and may require additional work, our technical experts will tell you all about it.
Rekeying locks on doors
When you have to change a lock it doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to change the whole mechanism, sometimes changing the key is more than enough, and that’s where rekeying comes in. When you rekey a lock you keep most of the mechanism as is, we just change the tumblers (or “key pins”) so that you have to use a different key and be done with it.
The benefits of rekeying a lock is that you don’t have to spend money buying a new piece, and in most cases, it's faster, so it ends up being the most efficient choice. Now, keep in mind that if your lock is busted it will probably require more than a rekey.
So, when is rekeying the best option? If you lose your keys, or if someone had access to your keys at some point and you no longer trust them, it’s a good idea to do a rekey. If you have way too many locks around your house you could reduce the number by rekeying and having a single master key for your doors, do keep in mind that in order to do this all your doors must have the same lock brand and model.
Smart lock installation
The idea of a technologically advanced lock that activates with a special device or a specific signal may seem to some people as a futuristic technology that belongs in a sci-fi film. Well, that’s not the case anymore, smart locks have quickly become some of the most popular security devices in the world, here at 24locksmith we are seeing more and more clients making the jump to a technologically advanced world.
Obviously, the biggest drawback for smart locks is their entry price point, smart locks are expensive, but if you can afford it, the benefits are well worth it. Some smart locks use keypads, others use biometric data (such as fingerprints) and some even your cellphone or a bluetooth key that you carry around, in other words you never have to worry about losing your keys or about keys getting jammed in the keyhole.
The other great benefit of smart locks is that they connect to other smart devices, so you can have lights that automatically turn on when someone opens a door, you can get a phone notification anytime someone uses the lock, or you can even connect smart locks with assistants like alexa or siri and have them lockdown the house in case of an emergency.
Damaged lock repair
Locks are complex machinery that will eventually malfunction due to constant use. While it’s true that a good lock can last for decades, or even more with care and constant maintenance, even the best crafted lock will eventually give out.
There are very clear signs that a lock needs maintenance but most people either don’t recognize them or don’t pay attention to them. For example, you probably know of someone whose door has “a trick” to it, maybe the key has to be put in a certain may, or you have to wiggle the key around before unlocking the door, those are all signs that the lock isn’t working the way it should.
Sometimes it’s not even the lock itself, but rather that the door or the frame has been warped by time and wear, so the latch needs to be aligned again. Leaving a door with its “quirk” is inviting disaster, as time goes on it will only get worse and eventually it will stop functioning altogether, the keys will turn but the lock won’t work, or the key may even get stuck in the door.
While we pride ourselves in 24locksmith about having some of fastest and more efficient emergency response times in the Los Angeles area, we are also big on preemptive maintenance, if you feel like your lock is being weird give us a call and we will gladly fix it.
Changing residential locks
Changing a lock is a very similar process to installing a new lock with the caveat that first we need to dismount the original lock, once again, while the process is extremely safe, it should be done with care since a mistake could damage the door.
Locks are usually changed when they stop working altogether and a simple maintenance or a rekey just won’t do. But it can also be the case that you are hoping to upgrade to a better lock (or even a smart lock).
Whatever may be the case, if you are thinking about changing your lock, give us a call and we will gladly help you evaluate your choices, the market for locks is huge and an expert’s opinion will help you navigate through it.
Broken key extraction and jammed locks repairs
It’s one thing when you leave your keys inside the house, maybe you are a careful person and left a spare with a neighbor, or you have a secret stash where you keep a copy just in case. But that is all four naught when you twist a key and the next thing you realize is that you are only only half of it while the other half is firmly stuck inside your keyhole.
Fortunately, here at 24locksmith we are prepared for such eventualities, with a bit of luck not only will we get your key back, but we’ll also do some maintenance on your door and leave as good as new.
Of course, a jammed lock can also be the sign of a deeper problem, in those cases, we recommend that our clients look for alternatives such as changing their locks. Sometimes maintenance may fix your problem for a little while, but the underlying problem just keeps getting worse until there is nothing else to do but change the lock completely.
We can help you diagnose if a lock should be changed or not and we can also help pick a replacement in case you decide that you would be better with a fresh lock.
Residential safe lockouts
Safe are designed to keep unwelcome hands away from your personal belongings, and they do their job remarkably well, so well in fact, that losing your key or forgetting your combination can be a time consuming problem.
The good news is that no lock is unbeatable and we at 24locksmith can guarantee that we can get your belongings out of any safe in record time, the bad news is that depending on the kind of safe, it will take time, and in some extreme cases drilling through the safe.
While that may sound extreme, the fact it that safes are specifically built with security in mind, and some safe manufacturers go to extremes in order to protect your belongings. Having said that, we always recommend that our customers keep a spare key of their safe somewhere secure and/or keep a record of their password/combination/passcode written down someplace.
Replace and/or repair window locks
Obviously, doors aren’t the only entry point to your house, windows can be a security risk as well, and very much like doors their locks can malfunction at anytime, if that ever happens our express service will more than happily send a technician your way to either replace the lock or repair it.

Commercial Locksmith
What does upstart companies, multinational brands, brick and mortar stores, and other businesses out there have in common? Locks, every industry regardless of its size or scope needs a strong security system to safeguard their assets, and that’s where a commercial locksmith comes in.
While every locksmith can provide the same basic services, a commercial locksmith is a professional and specialized technician whose expertise is well suited to provide solutions for commercial and industrial clients. These kinds of clients often need advanced security systems or big-scale projects that not every professional can deliver.
We at 24locksmith pride ourselves on not only being the fastest and most efficient locksmith service in the Los Angeles area but also, on having top tier technical experts trained and certified in the most advanced locksmithing and security technology. Some Services Commercial Locksmiths Offer
ADA Hardware
The American Disability Act is a way to ensure the businesses and locales don’t discriminate against people with disabilities by setting regulations about employment, transportation, and public accommodations. Every locale should meet certain standards that guarantee the safety of every customer, regardless of their situation. We can provide help in assessing and installing ADA compliant doors and security systems for your business.
Together we can build a better world where no one feels out of place, where, no matter the needs of your clients or employees they feel comfortable, welcome, and safe.
Cabinet Locks
Cabinets are common sights in offices and locales often used to store office materials, documents, or, in the case of display cabinets, to show off merchandise. They are a great asset to keep the workplace organized and clean. Most cabinets come with a simple lock and key mechanism which, while not all that reliable, is a simple security measure to keep important or expensive items under lock.
Having said that, cabinet locks can be installed or changed to increase security, they can also be replaced in case of a malfunction or another accident such as a broken key. No need to throw the whole cabinet away when a simple lock change will do.
Gate Locks
Gates come in all shapes and sizes, from small door sized gates that add an extra layer of security to your entrances, to entryway gates that prevent the access of unwanted vehicles. Logically, gate locks also come in all shapes and sizes, from your run of the mill lock and key to more advanced remote locks, electrical locks, or smart locks. Picking the right lock for a gate can be a challenge, at 24Locksmith we are more than happy to provide assistance to help you make the best decision regarding your gates.
Of course, we also provide repair and maintenance services to avoid complications due to wear and use.
Lock maintenance and repair
As with any other piece of precise equipment, locks wear down the more we use them, a well-maintained lock can last decades but that’s not a guarantee that it will last forever. People often disregard the signs that their locks need repairing, thinking of them as “quirks”, such as having to wiggle a key or push/pull the door while rotating the key.
24locksmith provides both maintenance services and emergency repair services, we are one of if not the best and fastest 24 locksmith service in the Los Angeles county. If one of your locks stops working our emergency response team will be there in a manner of minutes to assist you.
Master Keys
Large workspaces often come with lots of doors, and lots of doors often come with lots of keys, if the idea of having to juggle dozens of keys in a keychain doesn’t strike you fancy, then you might consider a set of master keys.
A master key is a single key that can open any number of doors, while it’s not a good idea to have one master key for all the doors in your building, reducing the number of keys can be a godsend. The only condition is that every door you want to link with a master key has to have the same kind of lock by the same company. If you are not sure if that’s the case give us a call and we’ll gladly give you a hand.
Re-Keying Locks
Re-keying a lock is the process of changing the keys that open a lock without changing the lock itself, it’s a quick and inexpensive way to make changes to your security. Re-keying a lock is often the best option when a key breaks, gets lost, or you misplace it for any period of time. Even if you get your back, if you didn’t know where it was someone could have made a copy, so better be safe than sorry.
In a commercial environment rekeying is a great solution when someone with access to the keys leaves the company, or when employees exchange offices.
Business Lockouts
It’s not uncommon that when a lock fails you can end up barred from entering your office or locale, this is what is typically known as a lockout. If you need help getting inside your workplace 24locksmith is here to provide the fastest response team in the Los Angeles area.
There isn’t a single way to deal with a lockout since it depends on the reason why the lockout happened in the first place. The good news is that 99% of the time an expert locksmith can get you inside your workplace in a few minutes with absolutely no collateral damage or consequences.
Door Closers installation
Door closers aren’t just convenient, they are a necessity in public spaces, fire exits require a door closer so in case of an emergency the door automatically locks after evacuation to prevent the spread of fire.
As a security system a door closer ensures that the door will close itself every time it’s opened, this is especially convenient in space that sees high levels of traffic. There is quite a bit of science behind installing door closers since they can be regulated to customize how much pressure a door needs to be opened, or how long will it take before it closes.
Almost any door can be customized with a door closer, if you want to know more, gives a call at 24Locksmith.
Hardware Repair
Much like locks, door closers, biometric devices, signal receivers, and other security-related equipment can malfunction, the most common reasons for hardware malfunction are:
-
Lack of maintenance
-
Short circuits
-
Power surges
-
Faulty equipment
-
Equipment misuse
Malfunctioning hardware can be fixed with either maintenance, part replacement, or in the worst-case scenario a full hardware replacement. Fortunately, unless it was a sudden failure, hardware tends to start acting erratically and show signs of wear, if you notice that your equipment isn’t working as it should, then give us a call to have it checked out. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure
Mailbox Locks
While it may seem that mailboxes are going out of style with the rise of technology, they still have their place in businesses and locales. Most mailboxes have a security system in place to prevent larceny, but like cabinet locks, the basic mailbox locks are rather simple and are prone to malfunction, one of the biggest issues with these kinds of locks is the size of their keys, which often break or are misplaced by the owner.
We at 24locksmith can provide all manners of services for your mailbox locks, rekeying, lock replacement, lock repair, and even jimmying the box if the need arises.
Smart Locks
With the era of digital acceleration, we’ve seen a huge surge in interest in smart lock technology, while expensive, smart locks are quickly becoming a must for every business looking to protect their assets.
In layman’s terms, a smart lock is a lock that can be programmed like a computer, they come in different shapes and forms, from biometric analyzers to keypad and card readers. The most basic models act as a lock but also have basic functions like keeping track of timestamps and users.
Advanced models can also be linked with other equipment (that’s the internet of things), for example, a fire exit can have an electronic door that automatically unlocks as soon as a smoke sensor goes off, a camera can take a picture of someone who is trying to open a door outside of working hours and report it to the authorities.
And that’s just the beginning, smart lock technology is still in its infancy and there is a lot we haven’t thought of yet. If you are interested in getting smart locks for your business, give us a call at 24locksmith.
Safe Opening
You know a safe is doing its job when you can’t access its contents, unfortunately, if you are the owner of said contents, then you are in for a tough time. Safes are especially hard to deal with since there are designed from the ground up to be as difficult to access as possible, nevertheless, difficult is not the same as impossible.
Our technical experts will get your safe open without damaging its contents, we will do everything in our power to get it opened, and is expected, you will always have the final word on how we approach the issue.
Broken Key Removal
Keys can end up breaking for a myriad of reasons, perhaps it was already bent, or the long wast a bit rusty and someone applied more force than they should have. Fortunately, while a hassle, broken key removal is actually a rather simple procedure that poses no risk for the lock no the door. After removing a broken key it’s highly recommended that a technical expert diagnoses the lock to see if it requires maintenance to prevent further accidents.
Door Conversions & High-Security Locks
Are you looking for a way to replace your door with a stronger one? do you want to upgrade the door to your warehouse? perhaps install a bolt system o a stronger lock? Then here at 24locksmith, we have the technical expertise to improve the security of your workplace.
Some doors can be reinforced with a bolt system, increasing their strength and resilience, in some cases, especially with old or brittle doors, a full replacement might be necessary, if you are looking towards upgrading your security give us a call at 24locksmith, remember that we are open 24/7.

We understand that, and that´s why we take great measures to guarantee the fastest response times in our field.
Trained technical team with professional certification
Many people out there call themselves locksmiths just because they can jimmy a lock, but that´s like calling someone a doctor because they know what pill to take to cure a headache. Locks and security systems are extremely delicate pieces of technology that can malfunction when misused or are mishandled. A botched job can turn what could have otherwise been a simple task into a budget nightmare.
When you hire a locksmith you are hiring the person who is going to be handling the security of your business, your assets, and your employees. Certified Professional Locksmith (CPL)

Certified Master Locksmith (CML)
-
Certified Professional SafeTech (CPS)
-
Certified Master SafeTech (CMST)
Automotive Locksmith services
We’ve come a long way since Karl Benz showed off his “motorwagon” back in 1886, the german-born engineer didn’t know just much his invention would revolutionize the world, creating the transportation system that up to this day has shaped our cityscapes all over the world.
Automobiles, cars, trucks, motorcycles, all share the motorwagon as a common ancestor, and for almost every society in the world learning to drive and getting a car is a part of becoming an adult. Suffice to say, we could not conceive a world without cars.
As such, it’s only natural that we care for them and that we take great precautions to protect them from car robbers. Hundreds of millions of dollars go every year into research to develop new and better anti-theft hardware and software to protect our assets. Having said that, sometimes anti-theft technology can malfunction or backfire and those security systems that we rely upon can turn into our worst enemies.
Anti-theft technology has come a long way since the days where all it took was jimmying a lock and hardwiring a car, nowadays transponder keys, car AIs, and remote lockdown systems make car security a very technical field that requires finesse, expertise, and training.
Not everyone is qualified to open a car, in fact, the Associated Locksmiths of America (AOLA) requires a certain level of experience as well as a written test to become a CAL (Certified Automotive Locksmith). A certified locksmith is a guarantee that you are hiring a person who is up to date with the latest technological trends and who has ample experience with both local automotive and foreign automotive.
24Locksmith is a top tier professional 24-hour all-purpose locksmith service in the Los Angeles area, we are proud to have amongst our crew some of the best trained and prepared automotive locksmith specialists at the ready. If you ever find yourself locked out of your car, or with a faulty ignition system give us a call.
Here at 24locksmith we offer the following services:
-
Car emergency response
We don’t choose the moment when a car key decides to malfunction, you might traveling in the middle of the road when a transponder stops working. It doesn’t matter if you are on the road or if you parked somewhere, if you have an issue with your car and you are near the Los Angeles county, we always have a team of locksmiths ready to deploy. Our response times tend to be the fastest in the business.
For security reasons, if it’s late at night try to find a place to sit and wait for our experts, we will try to reach as fast as humanly possible.
-
Transponder Key Programming
Most car manufacturers in the last couple of decades have implemented transponder technology as part of their anti-theft security measures. Transponder devices use chips to transmit a signal from the key that is read by a remote receiver inside the car. Each chip is programmed with a unique serial number so a transponder key can only turn on one car. The receiver detects the serial number allowing the car to be opened or turned on.
On the plus side, with a transponder key, you will never have to worry about leaving your keys locked inside the car, unfortunately, it means that if your transponder malfunctions you won’t be able to start your car at all. If for any reason your transponder stops functioning or you lose it an automotive locksmith has the same technology car manufacturers use to create new transponders, it can take anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes to get a new transponder up and running.
-
Remote Head Key Programming
Some of us might remember when there was a time when the remote control for the car’s alarm wasn’t integrated on the car keys. Nowadays, most security remotes are built in the head of the key (that’s why it’s called a remote head).
Just like with a transponder key, a remote head can be easily cloned or created with the right tools and the know-how, the process is extremely simple, so much so that anyone could potentially do it given enough time. The trick is that there is a lot of technical information that you have to know beforehand, and that’s where the expertise of an automotive locksmith comes in.
If you want to replace your remote head or you just want to create a copy, give us a call and we will gladly help you through the process.
-
Locked Keys In Car
We’ve seen the “keys inside the car” trope hundreds of times in movies, and while it’s usually played for comedic value, in real life it’s anything but. While it may seem like a problem from days past, it still happens, transponder keys aren’t perfect, and even a small short circuit can leave you locked out of your car.
Fortunately, 24locksmith automotive locksmiths are trained for this kind of eventually, we have every tool at our disposal to get those doors opened in no time.
-
Laser-Cut Car Keys
Laser-cut car keys are high-security keys that have a staple of anti-theft technology for the last 20 years. They offer an extra layer of security protection since they are extremely difficult to duplicate or create from scratch without specialized equipment and training. Obviously, that also means that rekeying a laser-cut ignition is a lot more difficult than regular ignitions.
Our team of highly trained professionals has both the technology and expertise to help you duplicate your keys or to replace a laser-cut car key, 24locksmith customer support is here to answer any question you may have about the process.
-
Broken Key Removal
While less likely to happen than with regular keys, car keys can also break inside the lock or the ignition, obviously, that means that the key will no longer work, and you can’t use the car until you manage to get the key out.
The automotive locksmiths of 24locksmith can get a broken or jammed key off the lock or ignition in a matter of minutes and will check to figure out the reason why the key broke or got jammed in the first place. We will also help you create a new key for your car or fix the lock or ignition if it’s required. It doesn’t matter the reason, if your issue is key related we will not stop until you can drive your car again.
-
Car Door Lock Repair & Ignition Lock Repair
Just as with any other kind of lock, car door locks are a delicate mechanism that can malfunction if not treated right, extreme weather conditions or misuse (such as a robber trying to brute force the lock) may end up damaging the lock.
While a car door may be more elaborate and difficult to work with than a regular lock, it’s certainly possible to repair it without damaging the car and with very little disassembling. Our locksmiths are trained for such eventualities.
Much like car door locks, ignition switches are made of metal which wears down over time. Misuse will little by little wear down the tumblers until the switch stops functioning altogether. That kind of damage can only be repaired by a qualified automotive locksmith
In both cases, dealerships will often try to sell a full replacement instead of trying to repair the lock, while that may be unavoidable in some cases, it’s a lot more expensive to change the whole piece than to have a locksmith repair the piece.
Car door locks and ignition switches tend to show signs when they start to malfunction, pay close attention to the “quirks” they develop over time, that’s a clear sign that something is going on and that it might be a good idea to call an automotive locksmith to come over.
Possible signs include:
-
Car key not turning in the ignition or opening the door
-
The car key is stuck on the ignition switch or door and it’s hard to pull out
-
You have to wiggle the key to get it to fit in the car door or ignition
-
You need to insert the key several times until works
-
Your vehicle will not start or stalls when it is running
-
Dashboard lights flicker
-
Starter motor is silent

Frequently asked question
How do I know if I need an automotive locksmith?
If you lost your keys, your car isn’t responding to your remote or transponder key, or the car simply won’t start even if every else is working as intended, then you might have the kind of issues that an automotive locksmith can help you with. If you are unsure that it’s a key or lock-related issue gives us a call and tell us what’s happening, we will help you diagnose the situation and send a technician your way.
What’s the difference between an automotive locksmith and other kinds of locksmith
While all locksmith services share the same basics, every type of lock is different, the anti-theft technology inside your car is very different from the security system of a house or an office. In fact, the anti-theft tech changes from car to car, the fact that you know how to open an American brand automotive isn’t a guarantee that you can open and European or Asian automotive. As such, an automotive locksmith is a person who has specialized in the different kinds of anti-theft car technology.
Think of an automotive locksmith as a cardiologist, as an MD they know about general practice, but they truly shine when diagnosing and working with heart patients. Likewise, an automotive locksmith is at it’s best when dealing with cars.
Will I need to contact my car dealer/manufacturer?
It depends on the situation, some proprietary technology does require ordering a replacement from the manufacturer, if that is the case, our technical expert will let you know and guide you through the process. Do keep in mind that in such a case we cannot accurately assess how long will the replacement take since that is up to each manufacturer or dealer.
Will the locksmith damage my car?
No, a professional locksmith has the training and expertise required to open a lock without putting even a scratch on your vehicle. 99% of the time you will get your card back unscathed, and if for any reason that is not the case, the locksmith will let you know well in advance about the issue and you will always have the final say on the matter.
Will you take my car to a workshop?
